My husband and I bought our home in 2004. We chose the white trim and door package with maple cabinets. We also chose an upgraded siding package, and we bought our carpet from a local floor store. Our linoleum flooring that came with the home from the factory has been holding up great. However, due to our pets, we replaced our flooring store carpet with hard wood flooring. La Porte Housing did a wonderful job putting our home together. The start to end process was very quick. We were moved into our home about 5 months after ordering it. It's been 10 years and we still love our home.

0k so heres our very horrible experience with our home purchased from laporte housing in 2004.....They are real nice when they are selling you the house but once they get your money they no longer care about problems with your house....we had to put a brand new roof on our house at our own cost because they used staples to put on the shingles and more than 50 staples and nails were sticking out and were all rusty which was making our 5 year old brand new house leak in a lot of spots....also the part above the bay window we had to remove and fix because the wood was rotten and that was leaking also....also our siding is wavy and when we took off the siding to look every single piece of wood is cut wrong and overlaps making a bump under the shingles...our front door and bay windows are crooked by about 2 inches enough to notice.....they tell you that you have a ten year warranty but when we call to complain they don't care and they definatly never call you back when they say they will....I have lots of pictures I can post later....please take my advice and build your own house or go elsewhere to purchase a home..LAPORTE HOUSING IS SUCH A RIP OFF....ONCE THE HOUSE IS ON YOUR LAND THEY DONT CARE IF THINGS ARE WRONG....A ROOF SHOULD LAST 20 YEARS OR MORE NOT 5....ALSO ALL OF OUR WINDOWS ARE SO HARD TO OPEN WE HAD TO REPLACE SOME OF THEM ALSO....OUR LENOLIUM IN THE KITCHEN IS COMING UP UNDER THE SINK BECAUSE THEY PUT IT DOWN AFTER THEY PUT THE CABINETS....ALSO DID YOU KNOW THEY HANG THE WINDOWS WITH STAPLES NOT NAILS....I CAN GO ON AND ON WITH THINGS THAT ARE WRONG WITH OUR HOUSE....NOONE SHOULD NEVER HAVE TO RESHINGLE A ROOF IN ONLY FIVE YEARS....THEY DONT CONSIDER ANYTHING STRUCTURAL DAMAGE ALTHOUGH ALOT OF IT IS....
